Why your SM482 machine cannot sense the label feeder
Some of my customers said that when the feeder is plugged into the feeder base and connected to the power supply, the device cannot sense the label feeder.
Component (labels) identification method:
a. Generally, the resistance/capacitance method can be selected;
b. For irregular shapes, please select the appropriate identification method, such as curve identification, etc.;
Tray setting: Just follow the normal tray setting.
- For single line labels, use the tape type;
- For multi-line labels, use the tray and select the 3-slot center for correction.
a. For double line labels, select the same material with coordinate points;
b. For three or more line labels, just take three points normally; or follow the above method, select the material at the last position at the 2nd/3rd point.
- For ease of use, multiple trays can be set, as shown below. The coordinates are the same.
- The following is simulated on the offline software. The specific settings are as follows.
a. XN: Number of components, count according to the normal number; YN: Number of components, the maximum can be set to 50;
b. Other settings: set the spacing and the tray thickness.

A: The feeder is just feeding the label, and then the nozzle on the pick-and-place machine will pick and place the label on the PCB. You mentioned printing action on the label. This action must be done in advance by your label printer or suppliers.
